What will happen on my first visit?
Before your initial visit to the office, you may contact us for the appointment and we will arrange to get your x-rays from your referring or other dentist, and the obtain the reason for the referral.
The first visit will be easy: we will perform a comprehensive exam and explain what we see.
- We will complete an in-depth medical and dental health history and a thorough examination to measure for bone loss, loose teeth, bite, oral cancer screening, TMJ, and other signs of periodontal disease.
- Review findings from the exam and discuss them with you.
- We will work with you to develop a treatment plan regarding treatment plan options you would like and when you would like your treatment performed.
- If you have dental insurance, please bring any forms or insurance cards with you to the appointment.
Please Note: All patients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the consultation appointment.
Please notify the office if you have a medical condition or concern prior to surgery (e.g. anxiety, artificial heart valves or joints, heart murmurs requiring pre-medication, severe diabetes, or hypertension).
